5 Must-Haves for Spring Break

5 Must-Haves for Spring Break

Spring Break is almost here! The last thing that you want to do is get to your location and be forced to get to a store to pay inflated prices for something you forgot! Below is a list of the top 5 things you cannot leave behind for Spring Break at the beach.

1. Bathing Suit
Bathing suits and casual cover-ups – that’s it. Going to a fancy dinner would be great, but whom are you kidding, you won’t be wearing anything dressy while beaching it. Skip the over packing and be realistic. Why would you want to get out of your bathing suit if you don't have to?

2. Beach Towel
Beach towels - yes, bring your own beach towels - you will look like a total loser by disobeying the rules and stealing towels from the hotel pool. These are called beach towels for a reason. Select towels you can easily spot on your way back from your beach walk. The darker the towel the better - this hides the sunscreen and sand stains meaning less laundry after a long day in the sun. As a matter of fact, it wouldn't hurt to purchase beach towels in bulk, especially when vacationing with children!

3. Drinks
If you're a drinker, it's probably a good idea to go ahead and slip in a little beverage of choice while packing. This will be especially handy when you arrive at your destination 3 hours late and either you cannot find a liquor store or you've been in the car with your 3 children for way too long and another minute without a sip will mean trouble for everyone involved.

4. A Book or Two
A good book is essential. The beach is a place for resting and rejuvenation. Sitting back in the sand watching the surf is what it’s all about. We are always looking for suggestions, please share your favorite reads.

5. Sunscreen
Sunscreen, sunscreen, sunscreen. Everyone knows by now applying sun protection is kind of like breathing especially when you’re in the sun all day. There are a million different options available, but one company we’ve found to have the safest products is Beautycounter. They have lightweight formulas packed with heavyweight protection. Not only do their products work, they are safer for you and your family. This company has banned more than 1,500 ingredients in their products setting a new health and safety standard— http://www.beautycounter.com

Anything else you decide to bring along is gravy. Just about everything can be purchased once you get there. However, if you have one thing you can’t leave home without for your beach getaway, please share! We are always anxious to hear from our eLuxury family.
