Sales Manager Representative – Wholesale And Government Contracts

Position Summary: Direct sales position with primary focus on developing our B to B and government channels for all wholesale products

FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify, pursue, and sell to private and government prospects as well as some to be assigned
  • Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific targets
  • Establish and maintain current client and potential client relationships
  • Prepare presentations, RFPs, RFIs, proposals and sales contracts
  • Develop and maintain sales materials and current product knowledge
  • Coordinate company staff to accomplish the work required to close sales
  • Manage account services through quality checks and other follow-up
  • Identify and resolve client concerns
  • Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, information, or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate company staff
  • Follow-up for collection of payment.
  • Coordinate shipping schedules and delivery of merchandise and services
  • Prepare a variety of status reports, including activity, closings, follow-up, and adherence to goals
  • Develop and implement special sales activities to reduce stock
  • Participate in marketing events such as seminars, trade shows, and telemarketing events
  • Work hard…play hard

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • Self-motivated and driven. Ability to persuade and influence others
  • Ability to develop and deliver presentations. Ability to create, compose, and edit written materials
  • Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of advertising and sales promotion techniques
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of hospitality and government procurement processes a plus

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Maintain a professional appearance and provide a positive company image to the public
  • BA/BS degree and three to five years of proven sales or marketing experience
  • Experience working with Salesforce.com or similar CRM
  • Knowledge of advertising and sales promotion techniques
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • 50%+ domestic travel required…30% overnight
